09 - Well it is almost over, but not forgotten.
A year filled with variety in clients styles and designs, 09 brought the introduction of American Clay (beautiful walls) to there homes and the custom installation process of Lime Plaster Mantles.
More to come in 2010!

It has taken sometime to perfect, but that is what TIME is for.

Introducing:
Custom Lime Plaster Mantles from Distinct.

Here is what my clients have been expressing about Lime Plaster Mantles.

We were invited in to do some stripping...

...Yes we have been stripping for about week now, mahogany veneer that it is!
 And the client is loving it!!

The house is a 1950's rancher, with a mahogany surround and bookcases that have been seriously sun drenched of the years.

Back to the rescue is Distinct, helping to restore this contemporary design. Patience, patience and plenty of elbow grease is what is need for the prep.   

We started to mix the stains today and start blending    the sun burnt areas were the UV has lighten 80% of the panels, tomorrow will seal the surface to allow us to work on the perfect colour match for the entire area.

It's been three years for this restoration to come together and it is finally almost here.

This beautiful 5000 square foot plus home is the next major project for Distinct Interiors. Much like the 3 new contemporary homes we completed in September on the site, this beauty will painted with green paint products and all of the wood finishing restoration in the same fashion.

Heat and Wall Glazing

Traditionally this is recipe for a disaster, but no longer the case with Golden Acrylic Proceed Love the stuff!

It is the dead of summer ( 33ºC/92º) in Vancouver and for the past 7 days we have been glazing hundreds of square feet without hitch, in a restaurant La Cucina.
Finishing up this week, I will have some finished shots of the Northern Italian wall finishes next week.... until then a very cool ciao!
