Style with a modern edge
In a recent trip to Portland I came across the Hotel Lucia, like most boutique hotels I find the interiors so compelling with modern or creative design choices. In this case, it was great to find a little private sitting area left of the main lobby. The art work through out the lobby is very eye catching, good enough to draw me in. That is when I discovered this sharp off-set mantle for possible future reference.Interested?
This is a granite mantle with a grid running vertically and horizontally cuts. Love it!
The hearth is mounted 12" off the floor, a sharp way to create space/lift to the appearance. It's different and it works!
