Randy has enjoyed a variety of TV appearances over the years showcasing the unique benefits a decorative artist can bring to a home’s interior mainly focusing on his contemporary application of Lime Plaster, Fresco Tiles and photographs by demonstrating the art of photo transfers onto Fresco surfaces. It always makes for a fun creative segment whether it’s TV or in a class.

Randy Orr invented an award winning line of home decor tiles - Tilano Fresco. These custom decorative art pieces were so well received that marketing reprographic giant Art in Motion purchased the rights to several of the images on the tiles to reproduce and sell throughout 60 countries around the world.

Tilano

Randy is the founding partner in Tilano.net, established in 1997. Tilano was born from the daily operations of Distinct Interiors where Randy was getting creative making use of left over materials, Fresco wall samples for interior design clients.

One day, Randy decide to transfer images on to the Fresco samples, thus Tilano Fresco tiles were created. The Tilano brand of decorative tiles are now sold throughout Canada and the United States in over 650 retail stores. “Helping people like you, do something great with your pictures, simply by transferring them” is the company mantra. Since 2002, Randy has been sharing his decorative secrets in making custom fresco tiles and allowing the customer to create their own works of art. “I describe Tilano Fresco as the image transfer process you do at home.” Each of our products empowers the customer with the opportunity to transfer their personal photographs and images onto various surfaces, giving them an incredible fresco effect without ruining the original print.

Tilano and Distinct Interiors have been a gate way to creativity for Randy. The businesses have lead to variety of opportunities on TV, print and web site features. Also allowing Randy to travel extensively throughout North America to attend leading design and gift trade-shows, exposing Randy to a wealth of creative ideas and meeting resourceful people.
